The Neighbourhood Centre works to build a caring, safe, and fair community. Funded by the State Department of Communities, the Centre is primarily a community meeting place for a range of interest and self help groups and we can assist new groups to establish. We have an Information and Referral Service to assist with general community enquiries and a small Emergency Relief Service run by volunteers, 'Choices', which provides practical support and information to local people in financial and related crises.

We offer a range of services and activities, such as our social group for mothers that meets on Mondays, 9.30-11.30am, and our free Family Support Service providing individual, family and child counselling for families with children aged 17 or under. This service has helped many families to get back on track when faced with difficulties concerning their children’s development or behaviour, or relationship issues including the challenges arising in blended families. As part of a federally-funded Community Consortium, we also operate a men's counselling service one day per week.

Other organisations use our rooms to provide a service on the Island, e.g. Caboolture Community Health’s Child Health Nurse is at the Centre on Mondays.

To learn more about the Centre, please phone us on 3408 8440, Monday-Friday 9am – 3pm, or call into the Centre at 9 Verdoni Street, Bellara and pick up a newsletter.
