;)Our Gem Show is coming up and all are welcome, the show is over two days Saturday 13TH. and Sunday 14th. September 2008.
We have approx. Thirty Traders and Tailgaters (Tailgaters are people who have surplus stock and sell out of the back of their vehicle),most club members have for sale a range of personally made jewellery.
Our kitchen is open for tea and coffee and a large range of home baked Scones, Biscuits, Cakes and Sandwitches.
Our major fund raising raffle is also drawn on the Sunday of the show, this year we have three prizes 1st. prize is a 9ct gold sapphire and topaz pendant,valued at $1300.00 gems were faceted by Vicki Partridge & David McKenzie, 2nd.prize sterling silver and chrysoprase pendant valued at $350.00 made and donated by Margaret Spencer, 3rd. prize sterling silver bracelet valued at $40.00 made and donated by Leslie Dow.
Ticket are available at the club or from any member, tickets are $1.00 each or six for $5.00
